Research Field:(1) Pharmaceutical Microbial Resource & Metabolic Engineering
(2) Enzymes for Industrial Use & Enzyme Engineering
(3) Biotransformation &Biocatalysis
(4) Fermentation Engineering
Research Interests:
Microbes are everywhere and they inhabit any environment. Some of them thriving under extreme conditions, they generally present specific adaptations to environment. More and more microorganism strains or enzymes isolated from them are used in food industry、pharmaceutical industry、environment pollution & manufacture process. Microbial diversity in world provide huge possibility for environment-friendly industry.
Our group is keen in screening microbial strains for industrial and pharmaceutical application. Methods involving a wide range of molecular techniques, biotransformation and biocatalysis, fermentation techniques, microbial breeding technology, biochemistry, biotechnology & chemical analysis commonly applied in our research. We are glad to collaborate with other groups and individuals interested in related topics.
