1.Specialty Education Objective
Students develop the theoretical basis and professional skills in biotechnology foundation, biochemistry, microbiology, fermentation engineering, genetic engineering, and biological separation engineering disciplines. Possess qualities of team spirit, innovative consciousness and international vision. The students can engage in engineering design, process management and technology development work in the fields of biological engineering, food and environmental engineering, light-chemical engineering,etc. Also, be a new-style engineering talent that can track the new technology development in this subject and solve complex engineering problems.
2.Specialty Education Requirements):
(1) Have good political ideology, moral quality, and patriotic feelings. Have good humanities accomplishment and social responsibility. Observe professional ethics and legal norms.
(2) Acquire proficiency in biochemistry, microbiology, fermentation engineering, biological separation engineering, genetic engineering information acquisition and processing. Possess abilities of microbial resources development, fermentation process optimization and control, bio-processing analysis and design. Under the innovation consciousness, be able to design a reasonable solution, propose solutions aiming at complex engineering problems, and also design the systems.
(3) Possess employment and entrepreneurship competitiveness in the fields of biology, food, environment, and light engineering.
(4) Have the team cooperation spirit that can not only as a leader but also a member independently undertake the work in this field.
