1. Training objectives of the major
This major aims to train compound professionals who master the basic theory and professional knowledge in chemistry, biology, food science and food engineering, etc. And possess team spirit, sense of innovation and international perspective, can be engaged in research about food and related fields, food production, food engineering design, food quality and safety related research, development and management. To track the development of new technology, can solve complex engineering problems.
2.Requirements of training objectives:
1) Having a good political ideology, moral character, patriotism and collectivism, a good sense of humanities and social responsibility, and observing professional ethics and legal norms.
2) Mastering the ability of acquiring and processing information about food science, food engineering, having the ability to food technology research and development, quality control, detection and analysis, experimental design, trade and circulation management. Also can design related to food engineering and suggest complex engineering problem solutions and system design, which reflecting the sense of innovation;
3) Possessing employment and entrepreneurial competitiveness in food and related fields
4) Being able to work in a team as a leader to organize members, as well as to work as a member on the professional field independently, with teamwork spirit.
5) Having a professional quality and international communication ability of the engineer, and has a will and ability to serve the country.
6) Being able to expand knowledge and ability through a variety of learning ways, and have the awareness and ability to learn and track new technologies for life.
3.Professional core courses:
biochemistry, microbiology, food chemistry, food processing, chemical principle, food nutrition, food factory design and environmental protection, food analysis, equipment and machinery of food industry, food safety.
